Drawn to the romance of delay and the latency of analog communication, Epistolary Affairs transposes the tradition of letterboxing onto the urban wilds of the metropolis.

Epistolary Affairs is a series of letterbox installations proposed in partnership with New York City cultural institutions to collect and disperse letters inspired by the dérive of urban journeying. Each site-specific letterbox would prompt messages based on their location. Collecting in colorful bio-resin containers, project volunteers forward the letters onwards so the process may repeat.
